Regional workshop "Satellite Monitoring
of Agricultural Lands in Northern Eurasia"

Following the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and in accordance to the decision of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the RAS is organising in the context of G20 GEOGLAM initiative the regional workshop "Satellite Monitoring of Agricultural Lands in Northern Eurasia".  The workshop will take place at the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Space Research Institute (IKI), as a technical point of contact in Russia for the GEOGLAM. 

Participation of leading national experts (CIS and EU countries, USA, Canada, China, etc.) as well as international organizations (GEO, FAO, EC etc.) working in the field of agricultural monitoring is expected. The key state agencies of Russian Federartion, such as Ministry of Agriculture, Federal Space Agency, Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, Federal State Statistics Service, and Russian Academy of Agricultural Science (RAAS) are also confirmed their attendance to the workshop.

The working languages of the workshop are Russian and English; simultaneous translation is provided.
